Youth Internships in Northern Ontario
GrantCanada — federal
FedNor provides wage subsidies to not-for-profit organizations, Indigenous communities, and municipalities to hire and mentor unemployed or underemployed youth aged 30 and under in Northern Ontario. The program covers up to 90% of salary and benefits costs for internships lasting up to 18 months, plus ancillary costs such as equipment and training.

- Demonstration of networking opportunities for the intern
- Post-internship retention plan
- Endorsement by appropriate or regulatory body
- Evidence of fair and transparent recruitment, interview and hiring process
- Business case and financial projections
