Regional Tile Drainage Program

This program supports agricultural organizations and consortiums in Northern Ontario to install tile drainage systems that increase arable land productivity and crop yields. NOHFC provides conditional contributions covering up to 50% of tile drainage contractor costs (maximum $500 per acre) and 100% of project management fees (10% of contractor costs, maximum $100 per acre), with a maximum NOHFC investment of $1 million per project.
What you'll need
- Farm Business Registration for each farmer in consortium
- Five-year written lease agreement for leased properties
- Project design confirming compliance with Ontario Drainage Guide
- Proof of 10% cash contribution from individual producers
- Written confirmation from Agricorp if farmer is exempted from Farm Business Registration
