Organizations must have a permanent establishment in Nova Scotia and be engaged primarily in film or video production, with a minimum Nova Scotia spend of $25,000 before HST. Funding is available through two streams based on ownership and control, with base rates of 25-26% of eligible Nova Scotia costs, plus additional incentives for rural filming, extended shoots, and distant locations.
