A Northern Ontario program that reimburses eligible employers for a portion of Indigenous intern salaries and mandatory employment-related costs. Businesses receive up to 75% reimbursement (max $52,500/year), while municipalities, Indigenous communities, and non-profits receive up to 90% (max $35,000/year) for 52-week internship positions.
What you'll need
- Business registration certificate or proof of organization status
- Proof of at least one year in operation
- Proof of fair and transparent recruitment process (job posting with dates)
- Insurance certificate showing $2 million commercial general liability coverage
- Intern documentation confirming Indigenous identity and eligibility
- Payroll records and employment agreement
