Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger Rebate

The City of Nanaimo offers rebates to support the installation of EV charging equipment. Single-family homes, duplexes, row houses, and townhouses receive $150 rebates for Level 2 charger installation. Apartment and condo buildings can receive up to $1,000 for an EV Ready Plan and $100 per parking space for EV-ready infrastructure installation.
What you'll need
- Charger invoice showing proof of payment
- Installation invoice with itemized costs (if installed by licensed electrician)
- Electrical permit number
- Picture of installed EV charging station
- Inspection invoice and certificate (if installed by non-licensed electrician)
- Proof of charger internet connectivity screenshot (if using existing 240V outlet)
- EV Ready Plan document (for apartment/condo buildings)
- EV Ready Plan invoice from electrical contractor or engineer (for apartment/condo buildings)
